Maha Meru Shree Yantra in Copper with Solid Base 4 X 4 Inches
The Maha Meru Shree Yantra in Copper with Solid Base 4 X 4 Inches is a three-dimensional form of the traditional Sri Yantra, created with a raised Meru structure and a firm solid base. Its 4 X 4 inch format provides enough surface area to appreciate the detailed geometric arrangement while remaining suitable for a home altar, puja room, meditation area or spiritual display.
The Sri Yantra is traditionally associated with Sri Vidya and is regarded as an important sacred geometric representation used in devotional and contemplative practices.
Understanding the Maha Meru Shree Yantra
A Three-Dimensional Sacred Geometry
The word Meru refers to the mountain-like, ascending form of the Sri Yantra.
A flat Sri Yantra presents the geometry on a single plane, whereas a Maha Meru Shree Yantra gives the composition physical height. The different levels rise toward the centre, creating a stepped structure that can be viewed from the front, side and top.
This three-dimensional arrangement is traditionally associated with the symbolism of Mount Meru, the cosmic mountain described in Indian cosmological traditions.
The Geometry at the Heart of the Yantra
Interlocking Triangles
One of the most recognisable characteristics of the Sri Yantra is its network of interlocking triangles.
Traditionally, the central structure is described as nine principal triangles—four pointing upward and five pointing downward. Their intersections create the intricate smaller triangular formations that make the Sri Yantra visually distinctive.
The upward and downward triangles are also traditionally interpreted through Shiva-Shakti symbolism, representing complementary principles within Sri Vidya thought.
The Sri Yantra Is More Than a Triangle Design
A Layered Geometric System
The complete Sri Yantra includes several distinct geometric zones rather than only the central triangles.
From outside toward the centre, the traditional composition includes:-
- Bhupura – the outer square enclosure
- 16-petalled lotus
- 8-petalled lotus
- Multiple triangular enclosures
- Central triangle
- Bindu
This progression creates a visual movement from the outer boundary toward a single concentrated centre.
