Copper Akhand Maha Meru Shree Yantra with Solid Base 5 Inch
The Copper Akhand Maha Meru Shree Yantra with Solid Base 5 Inch is a three-dimensional representation of the traditional Sri Yantra, crafted in an elevated Meru form and presented on a solid base. Its full-height 5-inch structure gives the yantra a prominent presence for a home mandir, puja room, meditation area or spiritual display.
The Sri Yantra is traditionally regarded as an important sacred geometric form in Sri Vidya practices. Its design is built around carefully proportioned triangles, lotus formations, outer enclosures and the central Bindu, creating a geometric arrangement that is traditionally contemplated from the outside toward the centre.
Understanding the Maha Meru Form
From Flat Sri Yantra to Three-Dimensional Meru
A conventional Sri Yantra may be represented as a two-dimensional diagram. A Maha Meru Shree Yantra, in contrast, expresses the geometry in three dimensions.
The structure rises progressively upward toward the central region, producing a stepped, mountain-like appearance. This is traditionally connected with the symbolism of Mount Meru, a cosmic mountain described in Indian cosmological traditions.
The three-dimensional form makes the relationship between the different geometric layers easier to observe from different viewing angles.
The Geometry Behind the Shree Yantra
Nine Principal Interlocking Triangles
At the centre of the Sri Yantra are traditionally described nine principal triangles:
- Four upward-facing triangles
- Five downward-facing triangles
Their precise intersections create the characteristic network of smaller triangles associated with the Sri Yantra. Traditional descriptions commonly identify 43 smaller triangles within the overall triangular field.
The upward and downward orientations are also interpreted symbolically in relation to Shiva and Shakti, representing complementary principles within Sri Vidya traditions.
