The Copper Maha Meru Shree Yantra is a three-dimensional expression of the traditional Sri Yantra, presented in a raised Meru form. With its compact 2.5-inch size and solid base, this yantra is designed for display in a puja room, meditation area, home, office or other dedicated spiritual space.
Unlike a flat Sri Yantra, the Maha Meru form gives the sacred geometry a vertical, ascending structure. Traditional descriptions of Sriyantra-Meru explain the yantra as a raised arrangement of its constituent chakras, with the structure progressing upward towards the centre.
Understanding the Geometry of the Sri Yantra
The geometry of the Sri Yantra is built around a carefully arranged network of triangles, circles, lotus petals and the outer square enclosure. Traditional sources describe nine principal interlocking triangles—four pointing upward and five pointing downward—which together produce the well-known inner network of 43 smaller triangles.
Four Upward and Five Downward Triangles
The four upward-pointing triangles and five downward-pointing triangles are traditionally interpreted through the relationship of Shiva and Shakti.
In traditional Sri Vidya interpretations, the upward triangles are associated with Shiva, while the downward triangles are associated with Shakti. Their intersection represents their complementary relationship within the Sri Yantra.
The 43-Triangle Inner Formation
The intersection of the nine principal triangles creates a complex geometric field of 43 smaller triangles. This is one of the defining characteristics of the classical Sri Yantra and is also connected with the traditional concept of its nine enclosures or Navavarana.
The geometry therefore works not merely as a decorative pattern but as a structured visual system used in traditional worship and contemplation.
